The Cantine Povero story began in 1948 when its founder planted the first vineyard and felt a strong surge of emotion and deep attachment for his terroir, as well as the pride of continuing the tradition of his ancestors whose roots go back to 1837 – a precious heritage of ancient wisdom, experience and art that has been handed down in the Tumlin Family from those distant times until today. Ours is the story of a family and an alliance between old and new generations, which today enables us to restore past glories while welcoming the innovations of the future. 45 hectares of vineyards where a perfect symbiosis, a strong union between humankind and nature where each stage is supported by expert oenological practice that turns a glass of wine into true poesy of the senses: balance, immediacy, depth, preciousness.
